Gman Blues with David Keeney: Music
Knee Deep
(Gman Blues)
2006-01-20
Words and Music by Gary "gman" Wesselhoff. I wrote this in the parking lot of K-mart not long ago. I couldn't wait to get into the studio to record it, and as a result this is the quickest song I've ever put down; about five hours from a ditty in my head to the song you hear now. It's not deep, but I think it has a soulfull Chi-town sound. What do you think?
- MP3 play whole song, hi-fi (broadband)
- MP3 short clip, hi-fi play (broadband)
- MP3 download whole song, hi-fi
I had a lot of fun playing and singing all the tracks of this song. I guess that's the beauty of having a studio in the casa. The interesting thing about this particular mix is that I mixed it at 30,000 feet high about the Appalachian Mountains on a flight back from New York--gotta love technology! The lyrics are not particulary meaningful, but they are going to love this song is Russia!
Knee Deep
Sweet Patoots
You got me jumpy—like a bug in June
I’ve changed my tune
And now I'm bayin’ like a dog at the moon.
In my eyes
You’re gonna find a sweet surprise
Tangled up
Knee deep in love
I’m knee deep in love
Not a thing I’m very proud of
You got the better of
Knee deep in love
